FirstLook Venture Co., a Delaware C-Corporation with headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio (“FirstLook,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you visit FirstLook.vc (the “Site”), apply for membership, or participate in our private investor community and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
1. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide Directly
- Name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and any other information you submit on the membership application form
- Shipping address for the monthly product-sample boxes
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe – we never receive or store your full credit card number)
- Any content or messages you send via email, WhatsApp, Gmail, Google Workspace, or within the community (e.g., comments on deals, introductions, etc.)
- Your self-certification that you meet the definition of an “accredited investor” under Rule 501(a) of Regulation D (we do not request or store any financial documents or verification paperwork)
B. Automatically Collected Information
- We do not use cookies, trackers, pixels, or any similar technologies on the Site.
- The only technical data we automatically receive is standard server logs (IP address, browser type, date/time of visit) that WordPress and our hosting provider collect for security and performance purposes only.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Review and approve membership applications
- Process payments and ship monthly product-sample boxes
- Operate the private investor community and facilitate deal sharing
- Communicate with you and other members (via email, WhatsApp, Gmail, Google Workspace)
- Send community updates and administrative notices
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How We Share Your Information

5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only as long as you are an active member and for a reasonable period thereafter (generally up to 7 years) for tax, accounting, and regulatory purposes.
6. Your Choices & Rights (U.S. Residents)

- Opt out of non-essential emails using the unsubscribe link
- Since all members are U.S.-based and we do not engage in data sales, the primary applicable state law is the CCPA (California) and similar frameworks. You have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights
We will respond to verified requests within 45 days.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or a prominent notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
